Missouri band cold and lonely no more
for immediate release...
Reaction to The Martins independent release COLD LONELY NIGHT has neither been cold nor

left them lonely. Long known for their dynamic live events, their ability in the studio has now

begun to gain national attention as well.

Their 2008 release sparked a trend of sorts for the family.

The CD certainly garnered ample encouragement for the group. Here is but a sample of

what radio professionals had to say about the project,

  • “This is a family with a most promising future. In  addition  to  having  very  pleasing vocals their  inspired  delivery  provides  an  added  ingredient  that  will  win  them  legions  of  new  fans”.  Wayne Bledsoe KMST Rolla, MO

  • “These  kids  can  show  many  of  the  old  pros  how  it’s  done”.  Paul Morris WXKQ/WTCW Whitesburg, KY

  • “Wow! This really drives, and both instrumentals and vocals are fantastic”.  Joe Steiner WLFC Findlay, OH

Other industry insiders have taken note of the family's studio ability as well.

Three young women from the group were plucked temporarily to lend their musical gifts to

BLUEGRASS BOUQUET - DAUGHTERS OF BLUEGRASS (Blue Circle Records). The project -

produced by Country Music Hall of Fame inductee Tom T. Hall's wife Dixie - features an array

of only the most talented ladies of bluegrass including Sonya Isaacs, Alecia Nugent, Sierra Hull,

Dale Ann Bradley, Kristin Scott Benson, and many more.

To say the project was a success would be an understatement. It was voted by industry peers

to be International Bluegrass Music Association's 2009 IBMA Recorded Event of the Year.

While not yet known to some fans of bluegrass, the Martin ladies equal participation in such a

nationally renowned project speaks to how well the family's talent stacks up to some of the best

in the business.

After enjoying a busy touring schedule since – that included the Martin sisters taking time out

for a rare Daughters of Bluegrass festival appearance in Ontario in 2010 – The Martins look

forward to a busy performance schedule in 2012. Long one of the next bands to watch – they

are now the next band to listen to as well. Listen to their debut release on Aurio records
